Thinking caps and ballgowns on as Aptus turns out for charity

The irksome ‘Beast’ didn’t stop Aptus employees turning out in support of charity in March as we joined two of our customers for some head scratching and toe-tapping at their yearly fundraisers.

In early March two Aptus teams took part in Cumbrian house builder Russell Armer’s quiz night. The 17th annual bash saw 23 teams of industry professionals battle to be quiz champs and enjoy a pie and pea supper provided by Russell Armer. Aptus might not have won on the night but the event was a triumph raising £1,300 for Great North Air Ambulance and Macmillan Cancer Support.

Later in the month Aptus team members attended Redrow Homes Lancashire Charity Ball at Macron Stadium, on 23rd March, in aid of Lancashire charities Derian House and St Catherine’s Hospice. Aptus booked a VIP table at the Las Vegas themed party and donated a cookery school and overnight stay at Northcote Manor as a prize which raised around £2,000 at the auction.

This time there was also a prize for Aptus when Street Lighting Manager Adrian Cunningham and his partner wowed judges in the ‘Strictly’ dance-off and scooped the evening’s prestigious title!

During 2017, Redrow and their supporters raised a whopping £45k for charity. We are pleased to be invited to help them and other clients in their charitable activities.
