Rain doesn’t stop play at Aptus family fun day

Aptus Utilities has hosted its fifth annual ‘Family Fun Day’ to say thank you to staff for their hard work and the part they have played in the company’s continuing success.

Celebrating our 5th Family Fun Day

Around 250 employees and family members attended an afternoon of activities, entertainment, food and refreshments in the picturesque canalside setting of Guy’s Thatched Hamlet, on Saturday 15th June.

The rain couldn’t dampen spirits as guests sheltered under a marquee and enjoyed hospitality, while giant inflatables including a bouncy castle, ‘hungry hippos’ and a rodeo horse supplied by iCatching Events kept children amused.

When the sun finally arrived fun and games got underway, with colleagues, families and friends pitting against each other in an old-school style sports day featuring the sack race, egg and spoon, welly boot throwing and three-legged race.

Onlookers were kept entertained by the competitive action and commentary from ‘DJ Wayne’ – our excellent MC for an afternoon of fun which culminated in a colossal tug-o-war contest. Fortunately, the resident paramedic was not called to attend to any sports related injuries!

The whole occasion was well-earned reward for a team effort this year that has seen Aptus Utilities continue to experience substantial growth and success in all areas of the business.
