Bolton MP officially opens new HQ Aptus House

‘Aptus House’, the new home of Aptus Utilities’ North West head office, has been officially opened by Bolton West MP Chris Green.

Mr Green visited the new headquarters on 29 May, and announced Aptus House officially open after cutting a ribbon in the green, white and blue colours of the company logo.

Managing Director Lisa Kerford met with Mr Green and took the opportunity to discuss challenges facing the industry, apprenticeships and the company’s ambitions for the future, after which Mr Green was given a tour of the premises.

Aptus Utilities has moved from a nearby location to quadruple its office space and allow for growth over a ten year period. The new HQ at Wingates Industrial Estate in Westhoughton provides 22,000 square feet of space across two floors for the company to grow into.

The ground floor includes a spacious reception area, boardroom, training rooms, individual offices and a sizable open-plan office for current employees and any additional new team members. A similarly proportioned upper floor can be developed to accommodate future growth.

Aptus Utilities currently employs around 100 office staff at its Bolton head office to manage central functions and North West regional operations and this number is expected to increase as the company continues to gain new clients and contracts in the North East and Midlands.

The opening of a Midlands depot is also expected to galvanise further growth.

MP Chris Green commented: “It was great to be invited to open Aptus Utilities’ new premises on Wingates Industrial Estate following eight years of continuous growth. It is fantastic that the company has grown from only five employees in 2010 to over 200 members of staff and that they are now able to carry out award winning training and apprenticeship schemes.”
