  • If greater than 1733kW apply for CSEP location and identify any reinforcement requirements.
  • Design for approval by adopting utilities
  • Lay mains off site and onsite up to 2 (7 bar) bar for adoption by Gas Transporters and Independent Gas Transporters
  • Install off site reinforcement if requested by Gas Transporter
  • Lay services for adoption by Gas Transporters and Independent Gas Transporters (including services direct to existing mains with no associated mainlaying)
  • Install Pressure Reduction units
  • Connections up to 2 bar ( hopefully from 8 November 2017)
  • Install U6 gas meters ( for specified Gas Transporters)
  • Cut off Services ( any diameter as long as classified by GT as a service on a record)
  • Alter services ( excluding meter relocation and outlet )
    • Potential issue is that if the service is part or wholly steel then the alter will have to become a relay. National Grid will make a contribution to the relay cost based on their contractor’s rate – but it will be less than our additional costs as we will need Section 50 notice etc. Therefore alters should be subject to site survey.

  • Lay mains for adoption by the Water Authority
  • Connect services for adoption by the Water Authority up to 90mm PE (in some Authorities including from existing mains)
  • Install water meters subject to Water Authority approval
  • Testing and Chlorinating new mains and services
  • On site mains connections under CRMC
  • Private external water pipework
Electricity

  • Feasibility for site purchase
  • Design for approval by adopting utilities
  • Self-determination of LV POC
  • Lay mains up to 33kVfor adoption by DNO and IDNOs

  • Design, construction and commissioning of up to 11kV substations
