About Aptus in Penrith, Cumbria
Originally operating out of a small yard in Workington, we soon outgrew the space, and so in 2016, we moved our depot to a more central location in Penrith, Cumbria.
Cumbria is known for its long distances between towns, so we looked for somewhere closely connected to key routes. Penrith turned out to be the perfect location due to its reasonably active house building sector, close transport links to Carlisle, and a direct route to our depot at Leyland and Aptus House in Bolton.
Our Cumbria depot services an area stretching from Lancaster to the Scottish Borders. Headed up by Regional Manager, Graeme Jones our Penrith-based team consists of Administrative Support Staff, Stores Managers, Stores Operatives, Operations Managers, and Project Managers.
We have six multi-utility, two jointing and two reinstatement teams based out of this depot, with the reinstatement team being shared with our North East depot. Recently, two apprentices have joined our team to undertake work in the region.
