Aptus expands fleet with state-of-the-art water chlorination vans

Aptus has bolstered its Water Services with the addition of five cutting-edge new water chlorination vehicles.

The top-of-the-range Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans retain all the high-spec features of their predecessors and are fully equipped to carry out hydrostatic pressure testing and chlorination, while introducing key enhancements that will benefit our engineers and improve our overall service.

One of the main challenges our engineers face is water freezing in equipment during winter. This can potentially damage apparatus, creating time delays due to thawing water, and increase in fuel usage.

To resolve the issue, Aptus has commissioned custom-built vans with an integrated heating system that maintains the interior temperature above 0°C, preventing any water in the equipment, pipes, and tanks from freezing.

The vehicle’s interior is also coated with epoxy resin which enhances insulation whilst also facilitating the thorough deep-cleaning procedures required to meet hygiene standards.

The installation of an interior spotlight at the rear is another addition which will assist our engineers at work during winter and on darker days, supporting our efforts to meet customer targets.

We are equally passionate about looking after our colleagues and the investment in the new heated vans is also an investment in our people. For our engineers having a heated vehicle in winter will improve their working environment, ensuring their safety and comfort.

The Aptus brand symbolises a commitment to excellence and the quintet of vehicles will be distinguishable by their new Aptus logo. Our refreshed branding, which was introduced in 2022, is being progressively rolled out across our fleet in a sustainable manner to coincide with the necessary upgrading of our vehicles.
