Overall Purpose of the Role:

You will be enrolled onto an apprenticeship scheme, working towards achieving Certificate for Business Administration Level 3, we currently have an apprenticeship position available within our Estimating team.  Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the provision of our Estimating Team.

What you will be doing:

  • To carry out pre-contract activities with enquiry set up and tendering duties
  • Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the department
  • Manage and maintain office systems, including data management
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and other documentation
  • Handle incoming enquiries via phone, email, and in person, and redirect them as necessary
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and communication
  • Any other duties as required

What we ask from you:

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Office, Word and Outlook
  • Good Literacy and numeracy Skills (grades 4 or above)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good telephone manner
  • Good team working skills
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to manage own workload, set priorities and work to strict deadlines
  • Evidence and interest in and commitment to the success of Aptus Utilities Limited

This Apprenticeship role will be 40 hours per week, fixed term contract over a period of approx. 18/20 months and will be working within an office environment.
