Business Development Manager- North West

Overall Purpose of the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Business Development Manager based in the North West to take ownership of key client relationships. In this role, you will be responsible for effectively managing customer accounts, handling enquiries, processing and growing orders, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. You will play a vital role in maintaining and strengthening long-term partnerships while driving sales growth and consistently delivering excellent service.

What you will be doing:

  • Drive sales growth – Key focus on sales conversions through strong relationships and effective business development.
  • Manage customer enquiries – Receive and review incoming enquiry, liaise with customers, and ensure information is accurately captured.
  • Track and manage tenders – Log progress across internal systems, provide regular updates through reports and meetings, and manage tenders through to closure.
  • Prepare tender documentation – Compile and issue tender submissions, ensuring all customer requirements are met from initial enquiry through to completion.
  • Maintain client communication – Build and maintain strong relationships and ensure consistent, professional communication including face-to-face meetings on and off site.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction – Monitor and meet client expectations at every stage of the process, communicating with peers and customers as required.
  • Represent the business – Attend industry and corporate/social events when required, promoting a positive image of the company.
  • Provide feedback – Report on meeting outcomes – successes and challenges, escalate issues where needed, and support their resolution.
  • Collaborate internally – Work closely with all departments, supporting colleagues and contributing to shared business goals.
