Overall Purpose of the Role
To be responsible for driving continual improvement in Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental practices across our sites and Depots whilst developing best practice as part of our zero accident, incident and defect strategy.
What you will be doing:
- Support the development and implementation of HSQE policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and site inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Provide HSQE guidance and training to employees and subcontractors.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate HSQE records and produce reports for senior management.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and stakeholders regarding HSQE matters.
- Assist in audits and inspections, ensuring all findings are addressed effectively.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement and awareness initiatives.
What we ask from you:
- Previous HSQE experience essential
- Auditing experience
- Understanding of and commitment to the company values
- Multi Utility background – Gas/Water/Electric
- Knowledge of ISO management systems, including 9001, 14001 and 18001
- A NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent
- A full driving licence
