Overall Purpose of the Role:
The overall requirement/expectation of a Key Account Manager is to ensure their customers are managed effectively, enquiries are received, orders are maintained and increased whilst ensuring customer service levels are the best they can be.
What you will be doing:
- Manage new enquiries from customers – receive enquiry, review info, speak to customers and validate etc
- Keep tabs on their tenders to ensure the tender return date is met, liaise with Estimators and design to ensure expectations met in terms of the quote being ready.
- Complete tender document once estimate is compiled by the estimators ensuring that the requirements set out at enquiry received stage meets what has been tendered.
- Complete the letter/contract document, check and issue to customer.
- Manage the tender through all platforms of logging – internal management systems.
- Regular updates obtained through communication/meetings as to tender progress. All tenders tracked and updates provided through all channels. All tenders managed through to closure – Lost or secured.
- Client communication kept to expected levels through verbal, written and in person methods.
- Ensuring client expectations are met throughout
- Attend corporate events as required
- Feedback into business outcome of meetings – good, bad, ugly – report as required and see through to resolution.
- Liaise with all departments in the Aptus process to ensure expectations are met. Support and work collaboratively with peers to achieve common goal.
