Multi Utility Estimator

Overall Purpose of the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading Utility providers and a play a vital role in our business-winning team.  You will be responsible for producing, industry leading utility tenders for our housing and industrial & commercial customers based in all 5 of our operational regions.  Working alongside internal and external stakeholders throughout the process, you will be heavily involved in the various aspects of tendering.

The ideal applicants will ideally have experience in a similar role and within the utilities industry.  However, full training will be provided as required for the right candidate.  Furthermore, as this role incorporates the functions and requirements of other departments in the business, a cross-departmental immersion period will take place to ensure a smooth transition.

What you will be doing:

• Compile utility tender quotations for gas, water, electric, street lighting, fibre and vehicle charging for new domestic and Industrial/Commercial developments.
• Apply for asset value quotations to our adoption partners
• Work alongside key account managers and wider tendering team to ensure tenders are produced in a timely manner and to customer expectations

What we ask from you:

• Proven experience as a Multi-Utility Estimator or similar role in the utilities sector is desirable
• Excellent communication skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Computer literate with good experience in working with Microsoft programs including Excel and Outlook
• Strong written and numeracy ability
• Strong commercial awareness
• A team player with the ability to work under pressure and to timescales
• Hold full driving licence (preferable)
