Overall Purpose of the Role:
The Operations Administrator role supports the effective delivery of operational administration functions based at Head Office. This position plays a key role in ensuring that day-to-day administrative activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with business objectives.
Reporting to the Operations Admin Manager, this role is suited to a motivated individual who is organised, proactive, and keen to develop their skills within an operational environment.
What you will be doing:
- Provide administrative support to the operational administration team
- Liaise with technical departments (gas, water, electric and streetlighting) and assist where necessary
- Ensure all operational administration tasks are completed in line with agreed expectations and deadlines
- Support the team with day-to-day administrative tasks and workload management
- Undertake general administration duties, including planning and supporting administrative projects, monitoring progress, and reporting outcome
- Complete and issue whereabouts documents to relevant departments and external customers
- Programme works for Multi Utility Teams / Engineers as per customer requests when required
- Write on site procedures for utility connections

- Competent in using office software (e.g. Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and in-house systems)
- Previous administrative experience in an operational or office-based environment (desirable)
- Be familiar with multi-utility business processes and procedures (desirable)
- Understanding of and commitment to company values
- Professional demeanour with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good listening skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage workload effectively
