Operations Administrator

Overall Purpose of the Role:

The Operations Administrator role supports the effective delivery of operational administration functions based at Head Office. This position plays a key role in ensuring that day-to-day administrative activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with business objectives.

Reporting to the Operations Admin Manager, this role is suited to a motivated individual who is organised, proactive, and keen to develop their skills within an operational environment.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide administrative support to the operational administration team
  • Liaise with technical departments (gas, water, electric and streetlighting) and assist where necessary
  • Ensure all operational administration tasks are completed in line with agreed expectations and deadlines
  • Support the team with day-to-day administrative tasks and workload management
  • Undertake general administration duties, including planning and supporting administrative projects, monitoring progress, and reporting outcome
  • Complete and issue whereabouts documents to relevant departments and external customers
  • Programme works for Multi Utility Teams / Engineers as per customer requests when required
  • Write on site procedures for utility connections

What we ask from you:

  • Competent in using office software (e.g. Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and in-house systems)
  • Previous administrative experience in an operational or office-based environment (desirable)
  • Be familiar with multi-utility business processes and procedures (desirable)
  • Understanding of and commitment to company values
  • Professional demeanour with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good listening skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage workload effectively
  • Ability to work with a range of personalities and roles and work effectively as part of a team
