Support Driver

Overall Purpose of the Role:

We currently have an opportunity available to work within the current stores management team at our North East Depot providing support to the operational workforce.

What you will be doing:

• Providing support with all stores activities including assisting the Stores Manager to control and issue materials
• Organising materials for collection and delivery
• Delivery or collection of materials, plant, tools or traffic management equipment to/from sites
• Clearing sites of barriers, signs and any surplus materials and ensuring their return to the relevant depot
• Keeping records using our bespoke in-house system to ensure accurate stock levels are maintained

What we ask from you:

• Engage with the team to succeed together whilst working within timescales, when you’re not on the road, you will be helping your colleagues in the depot
• A full UK driving licence (towing experience is essential)
• Genuine care for the needs of customers and colleagues
• Good communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with everyone
• Strong problem solving skills
• Be our driving force, who love what they do and take pride in their job whilst representing our business out on the roads
• Fork lift truck licence is preferable
• First Aid, Manual Handling and NRSWA (Streetworks) and knowledge of gas, water and electrical fittings is preferable

This is a full time position working in a Depot environment
