Street Lighting Technical Administrator

Job Summary:

As we continue to expand at Aptus and as part of our growth, we have identified the need for a technical administrator to assist the in-house design team and the onsite operational supervisors.

This new role within the lighting team is a fantastic opportunity to work within a multi-disciplined team. Working alongside the designers and the supervisors will help develop your experience and skills and provide the foundation for a great career.

The successful candidate will demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career within highway lighting  & Installation and show an aptitude towards software-based engineering and electronic drawings (AutoCAD) alongside programming and other duties

They will have an ability to demonstrate attention to detail, be creative and enthusiastic and think in a methodical way to design, plan and organise schemes and projects.

Main Activities (The duties of the job):

 

  • Assist the design team in producing lighting design tenders to client who include housing developers, building contractors and architectural consultancies
  • Liaise with manufacturers and Local Authorities to assist in producing designs.
  • Updating the technical library with Lighting specifications
  • Maintain project tracking records using MS Office software and bespoke asset management software.
  • Obtaining quotes for materials and ordering when required
  • Updating developers with designs / installations & completions
  • Programming of operations teams and ensuring time frames are met
  • Assist in the production and roll out of marketing materials
  • General office duties to assist the department
  • Produce KPI reports and targets are adhered to

 

Skills & Qualifications required:

  • Good verbal communication skills to present information in a professional manner.
  • Flexibility to work either in an office environment or out on a construction site or at home
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word & Outlook

 

Desirable

  • Technical administrative experience in an engineering discipline

 

Salary and benefits package will be based on experience.

This is a full-time position working within an office environment
