Aptus welcomes six new construction apprentices

This autumn Aptus Utilities welcomed six new construction apprentices to the company, beginning a specialist two-year Multi Utility Apprenticeship which will fully prepare them for a successful career in the industry.

Having already completed their first block of training at Utility & Construction Training’s state-of-the-art facility in Manchester, the apprentices started on site this week, where they will gain first-hand practical experience under the supervision of our experienced team leaders.

This marks the third phase of our Craft Apprenticeship programme, which launched in 2015. Once fully trained as operatives, the new recruits will take our home-grown workforce to 17, further strengthening our capability and supporting Aptus Utilities as we meet the growing demand for our multi utility services.

Managing Director Lisa Kerford said: “The addition of six new construction apprentices to our team is another landmark achievement for the company and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to growing our own workforce and building a sustainable business.

“The company’s considerable investment in developing our people, skills and technological know-how ensures that Aptus Utilities will be able to continue to support housing developers and construction clients in meeting ambitious housing and infrastructure targets well into 2020 and beyond.”
