Aptus Secures ISO Recertification with Zero Non-Conformances

Health and safety remain a key focus as we begin the new year, and we’re pleased to announce that Aptus has successfully passed its recent ISO recertification audit with zero non-conformances.

Why ISO Audits Matter

ISO audits play a critical role in maintaining our accreditations and ensuring that our management systems uphold the highest international standards. These comprehensive recertification audits, conducted every three years, verify the effectiveness and alignment of our processes with ISO requirements.

The eight-day audit was conducted across all depots, sites, and offices by Alcumus ISOQAR, a UKAS-accredited organisation. As the UK government’s appointed body, UKAS ensures that certification providers meet the strict ISO 17021 standard for conformity assessment.

Benefits of ISO Certification

Our continued compliance with ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015, and ISO45001:2018 underscores several key benefits:

  • Global Standards: Ensures our processes meet recognised International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) benchmarks.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identifies and mitigates potential risks to protect operations and reputation.
  • Trust and Credibility: Strengthens confidence among customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Operational Excellence: Identifies opportunities to optimise workflows and enhance efficiency.
  • Sustainability Commitment: Advances our ESG goals and supports global sustainable development initiatives.

Audit Findings

The auditors highlighted that Aptus has:
“A successful, controlled, integrated management system that supports the overall development of the business and provides a framework for continuous improvement. No non-conformances were raised.”

They further commended Aptus Utilities, stating:
“Aptus has established and maintained its management system in conformance with the requirements of the standard(s) and demonstrated that the system is effective in achieving the requirements for products and services within the scope of its activities, in accordance with its policy and objectives.”

A Team Effort

Reflecting on this achievement, Managing Director Lisa Kerford commented:
“This audit thoroughly evaluates our management systems, ensuring they align with the high standards we’ve committed to and confirming that our processes are being implemented effectively.

“It also assessed how we meet our quality objectives, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding our colleagues’ health and wellbeing while consistently fulfilling our promises to customers.

“This fantastic result is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the entire Aptus team. Their commitment to excellence enables us to maintain the highest standards across all areas of our business.”
