Aptus Utilities has been named as a finalist in the Business of the Year category at The Bolton and Bury Business Awards 2017.
This is the second consecutive year the company has been shortlisted, last year achieving runner up to national infrastructure specialists Taziker Industrial.
The annual awards, now in their 11th year, celebrate the successes of local businesses of all sizes and highlight the entrepreneurial spirit and achievements of the region.
The Bolton News is 150 this year while the Bury Times celebrates a 161st anniversary. It is testament to the success of the relatively recently established awards and the value they bring to the local economy that they receive increasing support. This year the awards are sponsored by Bolton Council and high profile local businesses including commercial property developer The Emerson Group and missile systems manufacturer MBDA Missiles, as well as The Market Place, Bristol Street Motors and Carrs Pasties.
Aptus faces competition for the title of Business of the Year from special educational needs provider Birtenshaw, independent building surveying and claims solutions company Building Validation Solutions, and School Lettings Solutions which supports schools, academies and colleges to maximise use of their facilities within local communities.
The winners will be announced at the awards dinner at the Macron Stadium in Bolton, on September 28.
