Lisa Kerford

Managing Director

Lisa has over twenty-five years’ experience working in the electricity and multi-utilities industries. As Managing Director, she holds responsibility for management decisions within the Aptus directorate and setting company policy and strategy.

She is responsible for the implementation of multi-utility and street lighting installation programmes on all commercial, industrial and residential projects for Aptus across the UK. Her role demands ensuring works are delivered to specification, timescales, within budget and meeting stringent health and safety standards. This role requires an analytical and innovative approach, liaising with a wide client base including housebuilders, multinational developers, blue-chip FTSE 100 companies, local authorities and housing associations; internally she works closely with the directorate to formulate and apply working procedures and business strategy to ensure that the Company meets its performance objectives. Lisa was previously Operations Director at Aptus and has been instrumental in developing and streamlining processes. She spent four years at Bethell Power Services before that, managing the major projects team where she delivered projects ranging from 11kV underground cable installation to 132kV Overhead and Underground component projects.

Natasha Clarke

Natasha Clarke

People Director

Natasha Clarke heads up the People functions at Aptus, including Human Resources and internal and external communications. She has assisted in the training and development of a number of key members of staff and has also ensured a number of Business Administration Apprentices have successfully obtained their qualifications.

As Natasha has been at Aptus almost since the start of the business, she has experienced the exponential business growth and is currently working to develop a bespoke system to assist with streamlining a number of labour-intensive processes within the business. Natasha started at Aptus in January 2011, when she joined the team from Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions. She has completed an MBA, whilst at Aptus, which further enhances her business knowledge.

Mark Clegg

Operations Director

Mark has over twenty years’ experience in multi-utility industries. As Operations Director he oversees the continual provision of delivery on our multi-utility, street lighting and major project schemes throughout the UK.

Mark is responsible for forecasting the upcoming workload and ensuring we have resources available to meet our standards of service and deliver projects safely, on time and in the budget. Prior to joining Aptus as Operations Manager, Mark worked at Scottish Power Energy Networks in both construction and project management roles.

Dan Owen

Dan Owen

Business Development Director

Dan has been at Aptus for nearly 10 years, working his way from Estimator to Estimating Manager to his current role as Business Development Director.

In his role, Dan is responsible for all pre-contract functions including business expansion, customer support and estimating across all operating regions. Dan has a team of estimators as well as a technical support team in his remit.

Whilst at Aptus, Dan has been involved in negotiating significant contract wins, as well as being instrumental in ensuring our core values, particularly relating to customer service, are upheld at all times. He has also been involved in contract novations and has been fundamental in Aptus achieving year on year business growth.

Dan has worked in the utilities industry for 10 years and has over 20 years’ experience in tendering and sales.

Chris manages the accounting, financial reporting and performance for Aptus. Chris has over 15 years finance experience across multiple senior roles.

As Group Finance Director, Chris is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the finance team and helping to drive business success by providing financial insights that help support commercial decisions. Chris brings a wealth of experience across finance covering financial reporting, budgeting, financial modelling, business planning and process improvements.

Best career advise you have received? There’s no such thing as a stupid question, so don’t be scared to ask.

What was your first job? Selling the football pink outside Maine Road and Old Trafford on match days.
