The relationship between Aptus Utilities and Fred Story began with our foundation, in 2010. Aptus owners Jonathan Holden and Andrew Reay, who had links with the Cumbrian housebuilder, turned to Fred for his expertise.
As an established business leader within construction Fred Story has been an invaluable source of support, coming on board as a director at Aptus Utilities in 2010 and supplying vital resources and equipment, which have played an important role in establishing Aptus Utilities as a leading multi utility provider within the industry.
Aptus continues to enjoy a rewarding partnership with Story Homes and their industrial arm Story Contracting and has garnered a significant portfolio of work with the housebuilders. After securing our first contract with Story Homes in 2011 we have gone on to collaborate on some of their most prestigious schemes including their inaugural Lancashire housing scheme, the award-winning High Wood development at Lancaster Moor Hospital. We were also brought in by Story Contracting during the refurbishment of the groups’ head office in Carlisle.
As well as working with Story Homes on high-end Cumbrian and Lancashire developments, more recently we have extended operations into the North East to support them in bringing high quality new homes to North Tyneside, which forms part of our overall expansion.
In 2016 Story Homes announced Aptus Utilities Ltd as one of the winners in their annual STAR Awards! Aptus collected the accolade for External Partner of the year (Site) category after a successful partnership with the housebuilders, dating almost from our inception in 2010. We are proud of this recognition by Story Homes and look forward to continuing a great partnership. Read the story here
